Mixtape: Sean Garrett “The Inkwell”

Singer/Songwriter Sean Garrett known for writing smash hits like Beyonce’s “Diva”, Usher’s “Papers” and Mario’s “Breakup” is out with a crazy mixtape called “The Inkwell”. I haven’t heard a banging r&b mixtape in a while and this a must listen.
My favorite tracks on the tape thus far are “Stoopid” feat Gucci Mane, a crazy beat not much lyrical content but because the beat is insane. I cant forget “Come til my Girl” feat Fabolous but why should I just tell you what I like when you can download the mixtape yourself ;)

Hip Hop in Oshawa?

So a couple of weeks ago, Joe Budden performed live in Oshawa at Karma nightclub. The real highlight of the night was the opening supporting acts. It was really good to see local talents performing which supports my belief that we have amazing and gifted people living right here in Toronto. The group that I would have to say did an amazing job was 8Bit. Their flow was incredible and they got the crowd right into their music. Take a look at some of the pictures from the event. For more information on this group and to listen to their mix-tape, visit their website at www.threwourframes.blogspot.com.

Mixtape: Chris Brown and Tyga “Fan of a Fan”

Recently I decided to download the Chris Brown and Tyga “Fan of a Fan” Mixtape presented by DJ Ill Will & DJ Rockstar and I must say that I really enjoyed the album. I know to some my musical taste is seen as eccentric but both Breezy and Tyga rap on the album and stay true to what originally got them paid in the first place. Breezy has his ladies track “No Bullshit” which is my personally favorite track and Tyga rhymes it out in the track “48 Bar Rap”.
What is going to make this mixtape a disappointment is the lack of fan support for Chris Brown and Tyga isnt that popular as yet although he is in the Young Money team.
Take a listen to the mixtape people …It’s free it cant hurt that much to listen to it ;)
