I think Drake just created another music video that belongs to the s!*t vault. Although the song is hot the video is not. The video doesnt have to be literal but it reminds me of “Over” feat Lil Wayne.

Ok. So last night was Drake’s OVO (October’s Very Own) Fest and I heard it was bananas. Do I ever so regret not going.
Tickets for this concert were sold out within 2 weeks and people were still trying to get $40 grass seats to experience the Drake-effect.
He brought out P Reign, Fabolous, Kardinal, Bun B, Jay Z, Jeezy, Rick Ross and Em….that’s epic!

Drake always amazes me. At times when I think that his light is about to burn out he does something that makes me interested all over again. There are very few artists that give me a.d.d. but Drake is about to come off that list. After buying the “Thank Me Later” album last week, I remembered the reasons why people were so interested in him in the first place. Not because he was a Degrassi kid but the fact that he was able to put his personal stories in his songs/rhymes and still have people engaged.

Listening to “Thank Me Later” was like a continuation of “So Far Gone”, there was nothing too dramatically different (which was good because this is basically his first EP) and there was always a song that made me think “DAMN, thats how your really feeling?” All in all if you dont have the cd “Thank Me Later“, go get it.

This morning I was lucky enough to get the chance to watch his MTV documentary “Better Than Good Enough”, which he opened some of his thoughts to his fans about his music, his career, what his life would be like with/without his producer “40″, his relationship with his parents and everything that makes him the artist (not rapper) he is today.

Last night the city of Toronto lit up with music, lights and excitement for the MMVA 2010.
The show was hosted by Disney star turned teenage sexy symbol Miley Cyrus in the heart of downtown. Perfomers included Justin Bieber, Adam Lambert, Drake and Kesha to name a few.
Bieber fever ran rampant whilt crying little girls screamed and congradulated the young pop star with his 4 awards while heartbreak Drake won a respectably 2 awards.

Wih the release of Drake’s “Thank Me Later” Walmart held a concert in Los Angeles to honour the Canadian rap superstar with his first EP. Watch the performance followed by an interview by clicking on the image.

In the interview he talks about the development of the album, the challenges from being a mixtape rapper to creating an album and the inspirations that made him the artist that he is today. Even his dj Future Da Prince gets a cameo in the interview to talk about his working experience with Drizzy.
